Support Canadians Facing Food Insecurity
Donation protected
Kirpa Project is a new Toronto based community initiative, run by a small team of volunteers, that partners with local organizations to aid vulnerable Canadians facing challenges such as food insecurity and homelessness.
Our first ever campaign will be supporting the Daily Bread Food Bank in Toronto. Since 1983, the Daily Bread Food Bank has worked to meet emergency food needs and is, at this time, the largest food bank in the country. Before the pandemic, they served an approximate 60,000-65,000 clients a month. Now, they serve an approximate 270,000 clients every single month. There are more people using their services now than at any point in their 40 year history and though they've been working tirelessly to meet growing need, a 154% increase in their services since the previous year demands community support.
We, at Kirpa Project, understand the challenges faced by Canadians during this time of great economic uncertainty and hope to help alleviate some of the costs of living by helping tackle the food crisis here in Toronto.
Note: Kirpa Project does not issue tax receipts.
