Support Candice With Medical Expenses

This fundraiser is to help Candice Hale (@blackbiracialandbookish on Instagram) with rent, food, and medical expenses while she’s dealing with unexpected costs due to chronic pruritis (itching) and hand/thumb inflammation, which has been occurring since December 2023.

Over the past six months, Candice has had to consult with several different doctors, get hand surgery, try various medications, and is still experiencing a lot of pain and difficulty with her symptoms.

Recently, Candice found out that she’ll have no income from her position as a lecturer in English literature until August 30th, 2024. Any support that folks can give would be much appreciated, and I’m hoping that the bookstagram community can really step up and support one of our own.
