Support Candra Rogers’ path to recovery
Donation protected
My name is Sarah Rogers and I am setting up this go-fund me for my mother-in-law, assistant principal Candra Rogers.
On Thursday, August 15, she was seriously injured by a student during a classroom altercation and had to be airlifted from Corsicana to Parkland Hospital in Dallas to undergo extensive surgery in attempt to repair the damage.
Since then she has been surrounded by her loving husband and children as they help her during this difficult, trying recovery process.
She made the following Facebook post when she felt able enough to share with family and friends:
“I just wanted to take a second to say THANK YOU for all the calls, texts, visits, flowers, food, but most of all your prayers. This is an arduous situation and will take time. Please continue to pray for me, my family, my school, and my district, even the child who caused this incident and his family. I love you all.”
Our family is struggling with these events. My mother-in-law has been an educator for 30 years. She’s taught thousands of students and will say education is her ministry. If you ask her, she will say God placed her in this position to shine a light in the darkness and make a difference in this field.
Thank you for taking the time to read her story, and whatever is on your heart to donate, we will gratefully accept. May God bless you all.
Thank you.
