Support CARES: Empower Student Safety @ U of Michigan
Donation protected
CARES — Campus Advocates for Resilience, Empowerment, and Safety — empowers University of Michigan students to advocate for health matters and policies impacting the campus community. We are a passionate group committed to improving health and wellbeing through research-based policy initiatives. Some examples of these efforts include launching a program to offer NightCap drink covers at campus bars and fraternities to prevent instances of drink spiking; increasing the number of blue lights on campus, with a focus on off-campus locations; improving late night transportation options; and advocating for more mental health resources for students.
We have already worked to distribute over 2,000 nightcaps to bars and fraternities on the University of Michigan's campus and the greater Ann Arbor community. We are seeking funding to continue this project and expand it across campus and beyond. This upcoming year will prove particularly challenging as our club works to fully launch and many avenues for student organization funding have been discontinued. We truly believe safety is something everyone should be able to feel and everyone is responsible for. All donations are greatly appreciated and will go directly toward our mission. Help us transform campus culture. Be a part of the change.
