Support Carlos Cabrera's Mom's Stomach Cancer Battle

Hello, I’m Juan Gedeon, a comic book artist, and many of you might recognize my work with Marvel, DC, and others. Today, I’m reaching out to you with a heavy heart on behalf of my brother and fellow artist, Carlos Cabrera. Carlos is an incredible talent who has spent over 20 years creating art for video games, miniatures, comics, and more.

Sadly, his mother’s health has taken a rapid and heartbreaking turn. She’s been diagnosed with stomach cancer that has spread, and her condition is very serious.

While we’re holding onto hope, the reality is that the cost of her care—hospital stays, tests, treatments, and medications—has become a significant burden, totaling around $1,000 a day. This is having a huge, unexpected financial impact on Carlos, who is doing everything he can to be by his mom’s side, working when possible, and managing her care. As a freelance artist, this can be extremely difficult and physically/mentally taxing.

The goal is to provide Clemencia (Carlos' mom) with the necessary care and support while covering the costs of medical tests, treatments, medications, and her hospital stay as doctors work to heal her condition.

We’re asking for help during this difficult time.
