Support Carly's Kidney Transplant Journey

Many people who know my sister in our community know her for her passion towards health & wellness. Carly’s life purpose is helping others on their journey with fertility and pregnancy. She is fond of kids, nature, meditation and dogs. I am so lucky to have a kind, vibrant sister who is always there for me.

In 2015, after her son was born she was diagnosed with acute kidney failure, and subsequently a rare genetic condition called Alport Syndrome. Alport Syndrome is a disease that damages the tiny blood vessels in the kidneys, and also causes hearing loss and problems within the eyes. Since then, Carly has been battling the symptoms associated with this awful disease.

Just before Thanksgiving weekend Carly received results from her routine work-up indicating that her kidneys were functioning at 9%, her hemoglobin had dropped, and her disease had further progressed.

On December 5th my sister will undergo a live kidney transplant surgery. She is overwhelmed by the generosity of her live donor match. My family cannot begin to describe the gratitude and hope this act of generosity has brought us.

While I was not a donor match for my sister, I wish to support her however I can on her long road to recovery. She is a self-employed, single mother of two. My goal is to help alleviate the financial burden for her being unable to work for several months, alongside the cost of expensive, critical medications. No donation is too small - (I’ll even personally deliver a smoothie in your name to the hospital).
