Support Carol and Odin's Urgent Surgery

I am reaching out to do a go fund me for my good friend Carol. Carol lives in Brown City, Michigan and is ALWAYS doing good in the community and ALWAYS helping animals when she can. Despite having a disability, Carol continuously goes out of her way to help anyone and everyone without asking for anything in return. Carol told me very teary eyed about her beloved dog Odin and his up coming surgery that he desperately needs. She went on to say that “she feared she would have to get a loan if she could to pay for it and wasn’t sure what she would be able to do, but would do anything in her power to help her sweet dog”. She went on to tell me what happened “ Odin and I found each other back in 2017. I wasn’t looking to add another rescue dog to our family, but one look at his face, I knew I needed to help him and take him in. Our friendship was instant and he has been my constant companion and best friend. He even has helped me a few times when my disability has me down… really down. He’s an amazing friend to me. On October 13th I took him

out to go potty as usual and I heard him let out loud cry of pain. I got over to him

as fast as I could to find his back end had dropped and he was unable to use his back legs. With his sad face he looked up at me for help and by the grace of God with all my strength I got him up and managed to get him to an emergency vet. He was given pain medication and I was referred to Dr. Meadows at The Lakeport Animal Hospital and his evaluation was done. Unfortunately he tore BOTH ACLS and damaged his cartilage ( unknown to anyone how this happened), but he is being kept as comfortable as possible until his surgery on January 6, 2025”. Her estimate for his surgery is $4,500-4,800. Carol is on a fixed income and needs help. This is a wonderful wonderful family who asks nothing of anyone, but is ALWAYS willing to help others and always goes out of her way to help an animal in need.
