Support Carol Hill Davis in Her Cancer Battle

Dear Friends,

I wanted to share an update on Carol Hill Davis’s health and current situation.

Carol was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer, which has metastasized to her brain and adrenal gland, along with a second primary Paraganglioma that has caused right-side facial paralysis.

She began palliative chemotherapy in January 2023, which successfully slowed the cancer’s spread. However, after a year and a half, it severely damaged her kidney function, forcing her to stop treatment.

She then started immunotherapy, which was effective until January 2025, when it triggered pancreatitis. Since then, she has been unable to receive any further treatment, as both available options have caused additional harm to her organs.

She has been out of work and unpaid since January, only recently returning on a very limited schedule.

Despite these challenges, Carol has managed to keep her job and health insurance through FMLA, but she is facing severe financial hardship because Medicare has a two-year waiting period—even for terminal illnesses. While she receives SSDI, it barely covers rent, leaving little for essentials like food, medications, and medical bills.

Carol is incredibly grateful for the generosity of friends, coworkers, and others who have supported her with food and basic necessities. However, she is still struggling to meet her daily needs and is not eligible for most assistance programs due to her work history.

I am reaching out for support to help Carol catch up on expenses after being out of work unpaid for so long. The goal is to provide her with enough stability so she can focus on her health and, hopefully reduce some serious stress until she can return to some form of regular work hours.

Any help—whether financial assistance, prayers, or simply sharing her story—would mean the world to her. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has supported Carol on this journey.
