Support Carol Lynn's Recovery and New Business

My name is Jean Lucas Singletary, and I am raising money for my dear friend, Carol Lynn Vrana. Carol Lynn and I met years ago while working in the healthcare field, educating the community about hospice services. Carol Lynn is one of the hardest working people I have ever known! She is the kind that would do ANYTHING for a friend and give the shirt off her back type of friend.

Her story begins years ago when she dreamed of opening up her own place. Over the last year, she and her family have poured everything they have into this amazing space here in Beaufort, South Carolina. The Beaufort Wine Bar and Fishburne Gallery became a reality on the corner of Bay and Carteret Street on March 5th with a very successful soft opening! Momentum was at a fever pitch! Everyone was so excited! I had even dusted off my waitressing skills with such excitement to help my brave friend see her dream come true!

Opening day was finally here but unfortunately took a tragic turn. Carol Lynn was walking to her business full of excitement and joy when she was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in downtown Beaufort. She was transported by flight to MUSC where she remains in the ICU. She has been diagnosed with a brain bleed but is making progress every day. (To go into detail about what a fighter this lady is would take forever!)

As you all can imagine, this is an unimaginable tragedy for her, her husband and son, AND our community. We are not sure about how long her recovery will take, but we know that God is in control! Carol Lynn loves the Lord and I know He has His hands on her!!

The family, along with friends and her beloved new employees, hope to open The Beaufort Wine Bar up soon. My hope is that with the help of the community along with anyone reading this, we can make Carol Lynn's family bar a huge success while she is fighting to recover! She will have medical bills and her new business bills coming in.
