Help Carson Crush Childhood Cancer

On Monday, September 30th Hannah and Nick brought Carson into Children’s Hospital for a scheduled MRI to try and find the cause of the eye irritation Carson had been experiencing. When the staff came in the room after the test Hannah and Nick were given the news no parent ever expects or wants to hear, Carson has Cancer. They were admitted directly to the hospital and would spend the next 5 days having Carson undergo multiple tests, scans and biopsies. Carson was diagnosed with High Risk Neuroblastoma that started in his adrenal gland above his kidney and spread to some of the facial bones which ultimately is what was causing the eye irritation.

Carson will have to go thru 15 months of treatment to beat this cancer including chemotherapy, surgery, high dose chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, radiation and immunotherapy. During this treatment they will have to be in the hospital for days, sometimes multiple weeks at a time not including the multiple trips back and forth to Children’s for appointments during the time Carson is able to be home. Carson started his treatment journey Thursday, October 10th and will be in the hospital for 5 days receiving his first round of chemotherapy.

We would like to try and take some of the financial stress away from Hannah and Nick during this time and help with expenses for travel, food, medical bills, household expenses and just normal day to day expenses while they are out of work so they can focus on getting their sweet Carson healthy again.
