Support Cathy Powers in Her Fight Against Cancer

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for help for our beloved mother, Cathy Powers, who has recently been diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer. As a mother of three, Cathy has always devoted her life to helping others, whether that be her children, animals, or the countless people whose lives she has touched. Now, it’s our turn to give back and support her in her time of need.

Cathy has always put others first. She received degrees in animal science from both the University of Arkansas and Oatridge College in Edinburgh, and she was a founding member of the Moonlight Players Theatre in Clermont. Her passion for helping others has defined her life. Cathy cared for our late sister, Holly, through her battle with metastatic breast cancer, supporting her for the final 9 months of Holly's life before we tragically lost her in 2020 at the age of 39. Cathy also devoted 11 years of her life caring for her ex-partner, who was in poor health.

Now, Cathy is facing a battle of her own, and the medical and transportation expenses are overwhelming. On a fixed income, she simply cannot afford the costs of treatment. That's why we are asking for your support.

We are hoping to raise at least $5,000 to help cover Cathy’s medical expenses and the costs associated with her transportation to and from appointments. Every dollar raised will go directly to supporting Cathy’s treatment, and any additional funds will be deeply appreciated.
