Standing strong with the Serocki family

July 11th was just another Thursday…until it wasn’t. Chad was working from home and hollered for my sister, Kayla. He had passed out and said he felt sick. He then had another episode so Kayla called 911. He was alert and talking with the physicians when he got to the ER. They identified that he had cardiac tamponade - blood around the heart. What they didn’t know was where the blood was coming from. They did surgery right away to relieve the pressure and when they opened him up they found a large mass on his heart. This is extremely rare and they didn’t think he would make it out of surgery - but they didn’t know Chad. He made it, and he will be heading to MD Anderson in Houston to get to work on shrinking this darn thing. That is the first step in the treatment plan for cardiac angiosarcoma. The next step will be surgery with Dr Reardon at Houston Methodist.
I’m setting up this GoFundMe to help with travel expenses for Chad and Kayla. They have a fight ahead of them but as I’ve known, and recently witnessed, there’s nobody stronger and they know they aren’t in this fight alone.
