Support Chad's Recovery from Hurricane Damage

Hi Team! You may have heard about Hurricane Helene & Hurricane Milton that struck the Tampa Bay / St. Pete area within the last 2 weeks. There hasn't been a storm of this magnitude, that has caused this much damage to the area, since 1920. Weather experts have labeled this specific type of event a "once-in-a-thousand-years" event.
Unfortunately, Chad's home was right in Helene's & Milton's path. His house sits ~1.5 miles off the beach, and it suffered deep destruction, with over 2 feet of water flooding the first level. To make matters worse, Chad bought this home ~5 years ago and has been fixing it up himself, juggling construction, roommates, & a full-time job. I remember when he told me (years ago) that he was sleeping in the sunroom to make space for an extra roommate. :) His home has been a labor of love and this storm ushered in some extraordinary challenges that he'll be working through for years to come.
On top of that, insurance in the US is a JOY! Chad carries both home insurance, flood insurance, and car insurance (his car is a complete loss after the water flooded into the body of the car + engine); however, there are so many caveats with events/things that they will and won't cover. Chad's estimate is that there will be ~$30K of damage that he'll need to cover out of pocket. He also needs to be near his home to coordinate contractors & those that will help him rebuild, which will add to the expenses in either rent or hotel costs. This has already been a costly, draining, and traumatizing experience. Anything that WE can do, collectively, to make it a little easier on him, the better.
