Support Chance Kidd's Fight Against Rare Lymphoma

Donation protected
Chance Kidd, only 28 years old and father to a beautiful 3-year-old daughter, has just begun his battle with a very rare form of Lymphoma.

Three weeks ago today, Chance was admitted to St. Francis hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after several visits to the ER complaining of GI issues. The attending physician suspected Lymphoma. A bone marrow biopsy and a lymph node biopsy returned inconclusive results, so the sample was sent to MD Anderson for analysis. During the long wait for results, his condition deteriorated. Finally, we received very difficult news. Chance was diagnosed with T-cell histiocyte rich large B-cell lymphoma with malignancy-associated HLH (Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis). There are currently only 6 other documented cases of this specific presentation in the literature, and his prognosis is considered to be "very poor". The physicians at St. Francis suggested that we get him transferred to a cancer center as soon as possible.

Through many, many prayers, and the help of so many people, we were able to get him transferred to the OU Stephenson Cancer Center in Oklahoma City last Thursday evening. They have been amazing, but Chance's fight has only just begun.

Despite the obstacles before him, Chance is a fighter. He lost his father when he was 15 years old. He has navigated the world very much on his own, but during this difficult time, he is going to need some help. He is so young, and while he has always been a hard worker, he simply doesn't have the years behind him to have savings or financial resources. Those of us who love him are doing everything we can to support him emotionally, spiritually, and financially. This is going to be a difficult time. Chance will be unable to work to support himself and his daughter as he undergoes very intense treatment.

We are trying to help ease that burden through this campaign. We are launching this GoFundMe with the goal of raising $150,000. Your generous support will directly assist Chance by paying medical bills, living expenses, and child care during his treatment.

Thank you for taking the time to read this story, for your prayers, and for your generous support.
