Support Chandler's Fight Against ALS

Dear friends, family, and supporters,
In August 2024, our beloved Chandler was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). ALS is a devastating neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, leading to a loss of muscle control. It is a challenge no one should face alone, but our friend Chandler has just been sentenced to this relentless nightmare with no known cure at the young age of 28.
In every stage of life, from going to the YMCA in Peachtree Corners, GA, and attending Mary Our Queen Catholic Church, Simpson Elementary, and Notre Dame Academy, Chandler was the friend we all wish we had. Loyal, funny, and protective, Chandler has always been a bright light in everyone’s lives. This led him to easily make friends in elementary school that are still by his side today. Throughout his time at Norcross High School, Chandler made lifelong friendships and played on the football, swim, and state champion water polo team. He is also a devoted Atlanta Falcons, LSU football, and Manchester United fan. Athletics have guided Chandler’s life from the values and lessons that he learned. We are determined that this disease does not “sideline” Chandler from all of the things that he loves most.
The summer before he left for LSU in 2014, Chandler's world changed at a Jason Aldean concert at Lakewood Amphitheater. He met the love of his life, Peri. Only a short year later, Peri was moving into her own freshman dorm in Baton Rouge. Chandler became the mascot Mike the Tiger for the LSU football team, and he and Peri cultivated lifelong friendships together. Peri and Chandler became active in Greek life as members of the Phi Mu Sorority and Fiji Fraternity. After building such incredible relationships in college, they decided to make New Orleans their forever home.
Since late 2023, Chandler has experienced increasingly more severe symptoms. Regardless of the fear and pain he experienced, he remained optimistic and positive. In April 2024, after over 10 years of dating, Chandler married his high school sweetheart under the stars of Florence, Italy, surrounded by friends and family. A few short months later, in August 2024, all our worlds flipped upside down when Chandler was officially diagnosed with ALS.
Chandler in one word is a fighter. People say that “God gives His toughest battles to His strongest soldiers,” and this couldn’t be more true. Although ALS currently does not have a known cure, technology, therapeutics, and alternative treatments are quickly evolving, and now is the time for action.
He is ready to attack this journey, but he needs our support.
The chronic, progressive nature of ALS places a significant financial burden on them. To fight it, Chandler and Peri will need support for costs of doctor appointment transportation, medical expenses and alternative therapies not covered by insurance, and medical and personal equipment needed. Unfortunately, due to ALS being severely understudied and underfunded, many of the treatments that he will be undergoing will be paid out of pocket.
Chandler and Peri are avid Catholics and believe in the power of prayer and miracles. During this difficult time, we ask you for your prayers for courage and strength, and for your consideration in donating to Chandler and Peri to relieve some of the financial stress they will undoubtedly face.
Your support shows Chandler how many people are on his side, and that he has an army of caring individuals to rally behind him. Together, we can inspire hope and courage for Chandler and his family. We encourage you to please share his story with others to spread awareness and prayers. All donations will go directly to Chandler and Peri.
Thank you in advance for your support.
-Team Chandler
