Support Charlene Day-Castro’s vehicle fund

The family of Charlene Day-Castro is asking for help on her behalf during this trying time.

Charlene’s vehicle was recently stolen, along with personal ceremonial items & powwow regalia.

She is an elder who has devotes her life to helping and supporting others.

We are humbly asking for help for Charlene with acquiring a means of transportation and support her financial burden of paying for all the unexpected expenses that is left because of a senseless crime and theft of her only means of mobility.

On the morning of December 28th, Charlene was heading to run errands only to find that her 2018 Kia Soul (which she recently purchased) was stolen outside of her apartment building in St.Paul, MN.

Heartbroken and stressed Charlene searched frantically with family to find her only vehicle.

The police found her vehicle completely totaled; smashed windows, hotwired, broken axl, flat tires— completely trashed! With drug paraphernalia scattered about.

This senseless crime happening to an elderly woman at

this time of year is just heartwrenching. Nobody deserves this happening to them, especially an elder who is retired from her service of social work of over 30 years.

She personally would never ask for help, but as a family, we know she desperately needs it.

Honestly anything would help at this time…

What we are asking for is financial support for her insurance deductible charge, towing expenses and car rental for the time being as this insurance process and time frame is beyond our control.

Our family wishes to thank those that prayed and sent well-wishes for her and for those that can help financially we are forever grateful.
