Support Charlene’s family following her tragic passing
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,
My name is Shanjae, and I am reaching out to you on behalf of my mother, Charlene Gammon, with her full support and blessing.
On January 5, 2023, our lives were turned upside down when my mom received the heartbreaking diagnosis of stage 4 colorectal cancer. Despite her remarkable strength and unwavering spirit, the doctors have informed us that our time with her is precious and limited.
After discussions with the oncologist and palliative care team, they have made the difficult decision to end further treatment and suggested transitioning her into a nursing facility with hospice care. However, as the holidays approach, my mom's deepest wish is to be surrounded by her family and friends one last time. Therefore, I am moving into a home that can accommodate her needs, and we’ll bring hospice care to us.
Family means everything to my mom, especially her 15-year-old daughter and her adult son, who lives with a disability. They are not only facing the impending loss of their mother but have also endured the heartache of losing their fathers to health complications. We are asking for your kindness and support during this incredibly challenging time.
We are seeking donations to help cover her memorial service, the hefty moving expenses to transition her from her home, and support to make this the best possible last Thanksgiving and Christmas with our mother. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help ease the financial burden that this situation has placed on us, allowing us to focus on what truly matters: creating a memorable and joyful holiday season together, despite the circumstances.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. Your generosity and compassion mean the world to us during this difficult journey.
We can also accept Apple Pay (317-522-8708), Zelle ([email redacted]) and Cash App (463-239-8810).
Thank you ❤️,
Shanjae
