Support the Fight for Charlyn's Asylum in the U.S.
Donation protected
Hi Everyone,
Thank you so much for your contributions to Charlyn’s asylum in the U.S. Charlyn is a Transgender asylum seeker from Honduras.
Your donations have already made an immense difference for her—Charlyn was released from ICE with nothing and now she has clothes, a phone, food and we have been able to afford transportation to and from the legal clinic in Sacramento.
Here are a few updates about her case for asylum:
1. We now have two attorneys who are going to represent her at almost no cost—shout out her attorneys for taking on Charlyn’s case without any hesitation.
2. Charlyn will be living in Davis for at least the next few months while we wait for her case to progress. Unfortunately, the fight for asylum can take months, and even years. Meanwhile, we will be depending on family, friends, and other allies in the community to support Charlyn’s living expenses. Currently, Charlyn is not permitted to work and depends solely on the generosity of others to get by.
We cannot express how much we appreciate your generosity and how much hope it gives us to see support from the greater community. The fight for Charlyn’s asylum will be long and exhausting, but we are optimistic and your generosity gives us even more hope. Any donation helps Charlyn ($5 goes a long way) and we would greatly appreciate it if you could share this campaign via social networks, emails, texts, etc. Muchas gracias por todo su amor. ¡¡Sí se puede!!
