Support Chase’s Fight Against Hodgkin's Lymphoma

It is with a heavy and humbled heart that I write this.

My name is Chase Peake. I am a 26 year old mother of a 6 year old boy, Elijah, and fiancé to my spouse of 7 years, Jon. Here’s a little bit of my story:

On December 20th, 2024, I received the most frightening news of my life. At the age of 25, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Hodgkin’s Lymphoma is a type of blood cancer that begins in your lymphatic system and affects your body’s ability to fight infections and diseases.

In January 2025, we found out the cancer was stage 4, meaning it had spread throughout most of my body. A cancerous mass was found in my chest cavity, as well as traces of cancer were found in my lymph nodes, spleen, liver, ovaries, and bone marrow. I went through numerous PET scans, heart echos, lung tests, and surgery to place a port in my chest to receive the chemo.

Due to the severe progression of the cancer, it was crucial that we begin chemotherapy treatment immediately. I stopped working my full time job as an Childcare Assistant Director to focus on my health and family. This, of course, had a significant negative impact on my family’s finances. My fiancé, Jon, has had to work multiple jobs, take care of our son, and take me to every doctor appointment, scan, and treatment.

Right after finding out this tragic news, both of our vehicles gave out on us, a week apart. We began drowning, falling behind on bills, and have been unable to afford medications or simple day to day expenses. Life had been giving us the short end of the stick, you could say.

I started chemo on January 24th, a week after my 26th birthday, and have been going every 2 weeks since. About a month in, my immune system dropped significantly due to the chemo and my doctor started me on Neupogen injections, which help the body to make white blood cells.

I am still going through chemo and the injections every 2 weeks. It has been a long and extremely difficult journey with much more still more ahead. My most recent PET scan showed significant improvement and the cancer cells are slowly dying. My last chemo infusion is expected to be July 2025!

The chemo treatments have begun getting more difficult with each round. I have lost and gained weight, lost a lot of my hair, and have stopped feeling and looking like myself. I have begun experiencing a weakness and fatigue like never before. I have been requiring more support and caregiving from Jon and been able to do much less as a mother and partner.

Despite these tough challenges, I remain committed to fighting this battle with strength, positivity, and determination. I have never been the type of person to ask for help or to show my downfalls or struggles. However, this experience has not only humbled me, it has shown me that it’s ok to ask for help.

Any funds received will go towards ongoing medical costs, household finances, car repairs, and lost income as Jon continues to juggle my caregiving and work.

Thank for you taking the time to read this and for being a part of my story. Please know that anything helps and we are incredibly grateful and thankful for your support and generosity.
