Support Chase's Journey to Health and Recovery

Donation protected
Hello family and friends-

In fall of 2023, my brother Chase began experiencing chest pains, accelerated heart rate, shortness of breath, heart palpitations, and fatigue.

Obviously, this was extremely concerning and distressing for both him and my family. Chase was only 22 (23, now) and had been seemingly healthy up until this point.

Upon finally seeing a cardiologist, it was discovered that the cause of these issues was that Chase was born with a chest wall deformity- Pectus excavatum. Meaning that Chase's breastbone has grown inward and is compressed against his heart and lungs- causing cardiac and pulmonary issues that have gotten worse as he's gotten older.

The surgery to fix this medical issue is very major. Chase is in need of a Ravitch surgery, a surgery that includes the breaking and resetting of the sternum, as well as the insertion of surgical hardware.

This surgery is scheduled for September 16th, 2024. My family was unable to find a surgeon in Oklahoma City that was able to perform the surgery, so they will be traveling to Austin, Texas for the medical procedure.

Chase will be in the hospital for 7-10 days upon having his surgery, then will have to travel back home to Oklahoma. The surgery requires an extended recovery time, in which he will be unable to work or drive for several weeks and will also have to rely on the help of our parents for support during his recovery.

I am hoping to raise funds to help relieve financial burden from him and my parents. Obviously, no one should have to worry about money when it comes to serious health needs. The funds raised through this fundraiser will help pay for his out-of-pocket medical expenses, bills and expenses during the time he will be unable to work, as well as travel expenses for surgery and follow up care.

Any amount you can contribute is greatly helpful.

My brother is an extremely talented, funny, and wonderful person who's only focus should be on recovery while he gets through this stressful period.

Thank you so much, our family appreciates your generosity <3
