Support Chelsea & Russell: Evicted by Crash
Donation protected
We have just been notified that we are being evicted because any repairs to the house will take too long. We’re lost and in need of help please.
My name is Jennifer Chelsea and my fiancé is Russell Young. We have been living in the same house for several years. Over the years, there have been several car crashes and police pursuits in our yard or in the intersection that meets at the corner of our property. This morning around 6 am, I was asleep and Russell had just returned to bed after walking our dog outside.
We were then woken by a loud crashing noise. Russell went to check out what happened, and I followed right behind him to find that a man driving a white minivan had run off the road and crashed into the side of our dining room. Police, firefighters, and EMTs came out to our home and declared that we had to evacuate because there was structural damage. The firefighters were able to help us back in so we could get our dog and two cats out safely. They have now taped off our home, making it so no one can enter until it has been approved. We are having to stay in a hotel until we know anything else. This is something we could not have prepared for, unfortunately. This has caused us to miss work while having to pay for the hotel cost, food, and any everyday essentials we need, such as hygiene products, animal food, and a few clothes until we are able to return to our home.
Russell and I are asking for any help and support to get us through this unexpected tragedy.
Thank you so much for your support and help sharing our story.
