Hey it’s Amanda! I’m creating this fund raiser for my best friend Chelsey Elias. She is in need of financial support and prayers. Chelsey hasn’t been able to work in the last 5 months due to her health. She’s been blessed to draw short term disability while she’s been off work, but unfortunately that is coming to an end. Her job was saved for 12 weeks through FMLA. However, her employer has called to inform her that her position will be posted online and they will be trying to fill it.

In August of 2024 she had a scheduled anterior/posterior lumbar spinal fusion and was approved and expected to be off work for 12 weeks. After surgery Chelsey started experiencing some medical complications, and wasn’t able to feel her right leg and foot. She was in a lot of pain and would just randomly fall. Her right foot was completely numb. Doctors refused to let her go back to work. After a lot of testing and a second opinion she found out she had a cyst on her spinal cord and a bone spur. This should have been removed during the first surgery but unfortunately was not. So, Jan 17th 2025 she had her second spinal surgery. She’s currently at home recovering. (Thank you Jesus for that answered prayer!!)

As if things couldn’t be stressful enough Chelsey also found out she had a mass in her left breast in Dec of 2024. On Jan 16th she had a breast biopsy. (Yes, the day before her second spinal surgery.) She got the results back today and she does have a form of breast cancer. DCIS also known as ductal carcinoma. At this time we do not know if she’ll need a lumpectomy or a mastectomy. However, she will yet again need another surgery. Her follow up appointment with the breast surgeon is Jan 28th 2025.

My friend is going through a lot, but she’s kept a positive outlook on everything. She stands strong in her faith and confesses daily no weapon formed against her shall prosper.

Chelsey is a single mom. Not only is she dealing with a lot of medical issues, but she is currently going through a divorce as well. She has been separated from her husband since June of 2024. Chelsey and her daughter live alone and she is the sole provider.

I know money is tight for a lot of people, and I’m not asking for you to donate out side your means, but if you can spare a small donation towards Chelsey financial needs it would be greatly appreciated. Chelsey is expected to be off work another 12 weeks from the second back surgery and no Dr will release her to go to work right now plus she will undergo breast surgery soon as well. Please pray for my friend she needs them more than anything.
