Support our friend Cheryl

As many in Port Alberni know, Cheryl Courtnall was violently attacked and beaten when she confronted a woman breaking into her vehicle in front of her home on June 22nd. Cheryl was hospitalized and has suffered greatly both physically and emotionally. Cheryl is self-employed and as direct result of this is horrific attack, she is unable to continue her important work and desperately needs our help. None of her medical treatments are being covered including those her doctor has referred her for. If that wasn’t enough, Cheryl also has scleroderma and other related conditions which means it also takes her body longer to heal. Victims services has said IF they can provide support it will take months. Cheryl is one of the most humble, gentle, and generous humans I know. Cheryl comes from a family who has supported and cared for the most vulnerable of us on Vancouver Island for decades and it’s her turn to be supported in her time of great need.
