Support Cheryl Dockter In Her End of Life Journey

** Update: We are incredibly saddened to let you know that Cheryl spent 2 weeks in home hospice, spending time in the love of family & friends. She went home to Heaven on 10/15/24. Cindy & I and our families are so grateful for the outpouring of kindness and support you have shown. Cheryl would like you to remember the good times you spent with her, with a smile on her face.

In mid September our Little Rascal Cheryl Dockter had several ER visits and was diagnosed with pneumonia. On 9/18/24 with MRI imaging, doctors found a large 2” tumor in her left lung. She was transferred by ambulance to Fargo and sent home again. On 9/28/24 she was rushed back to the Bemidji ER, where a CT found that the cancer had spread and she had multiple brain tumors. She was again transported by ambulance to Fargo. On 9/29/24 brain to pelvis imaging confirmed her lung cancer had metastasized and spread throughout her body.

On 10/1/24 oncology doctors told family that there would be no treatment that would ultimately extend or improve her quality of life. We have made the heart wrenching decision to follow her wishes and take her home on hospice. Our mom is being well cared for by her daughters Dawn & Cindy and their families, and will live out her final days in comfort surrounded by family.

We are incredibly grateful for everyone’s thoughts & prayers in Cheryl’s time of need.

Money donated will go towards her multiple hospital stays, ambulance bills, personal debt, and future cremation & memorial services. Any funds that may be leftover will go towards Cheryl’s granddaughters college funds.
