Support Cheryl Hogue's Memorial Fund

Donation protected
This gofundme was created by the children of Cheryl Hogue.

In lieu of flower, we would like to ask for memorial donations. We were not prepared to lose our mother so soon. We would appreciate any help to put towards the cremation cost. In addition, we would like to offer donation to help support other families during hospice care.
On Labor Day weekend, Cheryl was admitted to hospital and found to have an infection in her blood. She was discharged to Rochester Manor in hopes to get some physical therapy to return home. After a week, she was readmitted to hospital as she was not getting better. During this admission, she was found to have Endocarditis as a complication of the infection which ruined a valve in her heart. She was transferred to another facility and determined to not be a candidate for heart surgery.
Cheryl made a difficult decision to become comfort measures only.
She returned to Rochester Manor October 14th with support of Advanced Hospice.
Cheryl Ann Hogue, passed away peacefully on October 19th surrounded by loved ones. Born in Beaver Falls on September 28th, 1958, Cheryl was daughter of Thelma and Pete Hurbanek.
She leaves behind her loving family, husband Charles Hogue, children Chelsea Obenauf (Hogue) and Ryan Hogue. Son in law Andrew Obenauf, and beloved Granddaughter Lenna Obenauf.
She was most proud of becoming a Gigi, a gift that was taken from her too soon.
In addition, she is survived by family including Brother and sister-in-law George and Mary Hurbanek, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Donald and Lucy Hogue, nieces and nephews including: Crystal Tomaino (Hogue) and family, Charli Davis and family, Tara Hurbanek and family, Heidi Monata (Davis) and family, George Robert Hurbanek II and family, Darcy Koach (Davis) and family, and special friends Brittany Lamey and family, Anika Wilson, and Sandra Edwards.
In addition to her parents, Chery was preceded in death by her stepfather George Modro and sister Dorothy Davis.
Cheryl will be remembered for her kind, loving, and genuine heart. She always knew how to bring laughter to a room. She will be deeply missed and forever loved and remembered.
A celebration of life will be held October 26, 2024 from 1pm-3pm at Center Township Volunteer Fire Dept, Station 3, 110 Van Kirk Rd, Monaca, PA 15061.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to godundme.
Condolences for the family may be offered online at Simpson Funeral.

Our family is so grateful for the love and support of our family and friends. We are especially grateful to the staff at Rochester Manor and Advanced Hospice for the care they all provided during this difficult time.
