Support Chhoeung Chuon's Memorial Fund

Hello, my name is Som Pheach. It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of my beloved father-in-law, Chhoeung Chuon. He left us on August 30th at the age of 70. Surrounded by his loving family and friends in his final moments, he was a man of immense wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones. He's leaving behind three daughters: Rathana (41), Pharry (38), Sarah (36), a granddaughter Arianna (16), and his brother Chheth Chuon. Chhoeung and his family just recently learned of his new diagnosis of Cancer. Unfortunately, a week later, the cancer was too rapid and aggressive that it spread to his vital organs. He tragically passed away after finding out so soon.

Chhoeung was still mourning the loss of his wife Ran, who recently passed away in April, only just four months prior. We believe he passed away with Broken Heart Syndrome due to losing the love of his life. He met his wife in Arizona and swept her off her feet. He immediately moved her to Washington, married her, and was happily married for 42 years. We believe now he and his wife are reunited in the afterlife. It truly brings us peace and happiness knowing they are together again.

Chhoeung enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing, going to the beach, and helping out volunteering at the Yelm Buddhist temple. He enjoyed eating a delicious steak meal and sipping on a Corona. He loved spending time with his family.

Chhoeung was not only a great husband, father, grandfather, but also a very loving friend that touched and made a positive impact with everyone around him. He will truly be missed and never forgotten.

The funeral cremation ceremony is scheduled for Sept 14th, 2024. Please reach out for more information. All the donations will help the family pay for funeral services and fees. The remaining donations will go towards a charity of his choice, which will be the Wat Prachum Raingsey Buddhist Temple (He was a former monk in Cambodia before he had to flee from the Khmer Rouge). The family thanks you for your donations and for your thoughts and prayers through this difficult time. We Love You All!
