Support Chiharas and Friends after Maui Wildfires

Donation protected
The August 7th wildfires in Maui are a tragic loss for so many, including our dear sister Monica Chihara, her husband Walter, and their four kids and grandchildren. When the fires swept through Lahaina, the Chiharas fled, some on foot with only the clothes they wore and a few belongings. Three homes in the immediate family were destroyed and all their neighbors' homes.
While we are so relieved they escaped and are now safe, the family faces the dreadful reality of picking up the pieces in the aftermath. The extended family, their friends, and neighbors are in immediate need of basic supplies, vehicles, computers, clothing and income. The funds raised will be disbursed to our sister's family. Since they are on the front line they will know best how to use it where needed.
Monica is one of 10 Casey's who grew up on Coggeshall Ave. in Newport RI. The Casey family siblings have set up this page to reach out to anyone that would like to help as they move forward and rebuild.
Monica and Walter and family have generously hosted many friends and family from all over the world on their visits to Maui. They are deeply connected to their community and have fostered kids in need as well as volunteering to help the elderly or anyone in need, never expecting a thing in return. Many in the Newport, RI community have memories of the Chiharas generosity and kindness. Here's a chance to reciprocate.
We are so grateful for all your thoughts and inquiries. Any support you can give is deeply appreciated.
