Help underserved children in Medellin, Colombia!

Bibliocielo is a community center that serves the underserved neighborhood of Carpinello in the city of Medellin. It’s a colorful space where children come together to reflect, learn, and dream! The center offers music classes, dance classes, art classes, storytelling, movie nights and much more. Children can join field trips to museums in the center of the city where they learn about their rich history and culture.

 

Often these are kids who have never stepped outside the boundaries of their small neighborhoods, and when they’re brought out to the center of Medellin, it’s as if it’s a whole new world to them!

 

The center even offers lunch or dinner for the children, which has become something the kids rely on as part of their daily meals.

 

I’ve personally had the opportunity to experience the many smiles and happiness that the children feel when they see all the volunteers who come to visit them. They are so grateful for it all. 

 

This fundraising effort is to support all of these beautiful activities and workshops. With the holidays coming up, we hope to offer the children Christmas gifts and exciting holiday programming to make this an even more special and memorable time for them.
