Support Chloe & Family: Fire Recovery Fund
Donation protected
My heart is broken as I share the devastating loss my best friend, Chloe Garcia, and her family have experienced in the wake of the Eaton Fire. Chloe, who has been my best friend for 26 years, is currently pregnant with a baby boy, due in March. Her entire world was turned upside down in a matter of hours when the fire destroyed her home and everything she has spent years building—her belongings, the items she lovingly collected for her unborn son, and her sense of safety and stability.
This tragedy didn’t just affect Chloe, her partner, Gio Figueroa and daughter Nyla. It’s impacted multiple generations of Chloe’s family. Her parents’ home was also lost in the fire, as well as the home where her cousin lived, which had been passed down from their grandmother. The Eaton Fire has wiped out everything, leaving an entire family devastated and with nowhere to turn. Everything is gone.
Chloe and Gio are now facing the unimaginable: they need to rebuild their lives from scratch, all while preparing to welcome their son into the world. The fire took everything. With no time to prepare, they couldn’t gather any belongings, family heirlooms, or even essentials for their baby.
We are asking for your support, no matter how big or small, to help them get back on their feet during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation will go towards helping them rebuild their lives, providing the essentials they need now, and assisting with the cost of rebuilding a new home on their property.
What Chloe and Gio Need:
Immediate Needs: Clothes, food, and basic living supplies as they stay with family.
Baby Supplies: With their baby boy due in March, they need items for the baby, including clothes, diapers, and baby care products.
Rebuilding Their Home: Funds will also go towards the rebuilding of their home, which will take time, resources, and love.
Emotional Support: Beyond financial assistance, your prayers, love, and emotional support mean the world to them.
The fire has left us all in shock, but we are hopeful that with your generosity, Chloe, Gio, and their family can find a path forward, rebuild their home, and create a brighter future for their son and Nyla. We are praying for all those affected by the Eaton Fire, including our neighbors, friends, and the beautiful community of Altadena—our shared hometown, which holds so many cherished memories for us both.
Please consider donating what you can to help Chloe and Gio through this heartbreaking and uncertain time.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your kindness will make all the difference.
With gratitude,

Chloe and I met in 1998 when we started 4th grade at Westridge School for Girls. We both grew up in Altadena, carpooled for years, created countless memories at each other’s family homes, and developed a bond that will never be broken. She is not just my best friend—she is like a big sister to me, one of the most caring and loving people I know.
Today, Chloe is an occupational therapist, dedicating her life to enhancing and uplifting others. Soon, she’ll be joining me in the journey of motherhood as a boy mom. It is my deepest hope that, as Chloe prepares to welcome her baby boy into the world, she can do so knowing she has the support and resources to provide stability and love for her son.
