Support Chloe's Brave Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
Life changed forever for our family on Monday, June 17th.
Our beautiful five year old niece Chloe had been having headaches on and off for a few months. Thinking she might need glasses, Jessica took her to an eye doctor. The eye doctor wanted her to get a second opinion on something he noticed. That second opinion led to the emergency room for an MRI that same day.
The MRI showed a large mass on the right side of Chloe's brain and led to an immediate admittance to Yale New Haven Children's ICU.
On Thursday, June 20th, the incredible medical team at Yale performed an almost 8 hour brain surgery on our Chloe. They believe they were able to remove 99 percent of the mass, which they described as larger than a baseball.
Chloe has done more than her part in this. She has been breathtakingly brave throughout this entire nightmare.
Now it is our turn to do our part.
Anyone who knows our sister Jessica and brother-in-law Vinny knows that they would not ever want to ask for help. So we are doing it for them, and for Chloe.
We do not know what the rest of this journey will look like for Chloe but we DO know that our family will stop at nothing to get her the best care possible. We will be by her side every single step of the way.
Please consider donating to help Chloe, Layla, Jessica and Vinny as they continue to brave this storm together. Any funds collected will be used directly for Chloe's recovery, medical needs and related costs.
If you are not in a position to donate, please continue to send all of your healing thoughts, good vibes, and kindness to our brave, beautiful and incredible Chloe.
Our family would like to thank Chloe's preschool teacher, Miss Katie for bringing the headaches to Jessica's attention. We are eternally grateful. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the entire medical staff at Yale New Haven Children's hospital- they are truly angels on this earth. And words cannot fully express our gratitude to the head surgeon, Dr. Eyiyemisi Damisah (AKA Dr. Yemi).
Lastly, we send our immense appreciation to the Ronald McDonald House for being a safe haven for our family.
Thank you & let's do this!
