Support Chris "Hank" Henry's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,

We are reaching out to you during a challenging time for the beloved Chris “Hank” Henry. Chris was found unconscious on his job site on Friday, 7/19, and was immediately life-flighted to Grant Hospital. He suffered a severe fall, and while the exact cause remains unclear, the primary concern is the brain bleed he is experiencing.

Chris has been diagnosed with an Intraparenchymal hemorrhage (IPH). Fortunately, the bleed remains stable and does not require surgery. The nature of this bleed is uncommon for the type of fall he had, leading doctors to investigate what caused the injury. Though he is very confused and doesn’t remember the incident or where he is, he has been able to talk, which is a hopeful sign.

In addition to the brain injury and many other physical injuries, Chris continues to face additional complications. He fell out of the bed in ICU/CCU due to a shift change and the bed alarm was not turned on. Due to this, he suffered a penetrating brain injury, which caused further trauma to his brain, an additional layer of confusion, and significant blood loss. He has developed pneumonia, fevers, failed swallowing tests, and had a feeding tube implanted. This necessitated a move back to a more intensive care floor. He is also battling a blood infection, further complicating his recovery.

Despite these setbacks, Chris has shown incredible resilience. He has been working with Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy, though his progress has been hindered by his pneumonia and blood infection. We are hopeful that his strength and determination will see him through these difficult times.

We are raising funds to support Chris’s extensive medical care, rehabilitation, and expenses for Bernadette and Lincoln. The road to recovery will be long, and the costs are significant. Your generous donations will help cover caregiver expenses, medical expenses, therapy sessions, and necessary living adjustments for Chris’s continued care and recovery.

Please consider donating to help Chris and his family navigate this challenging journey. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference.

Thank you for your support, prayers, and well-wishes.
