Support Chris (Schaeffer) Hoffman After Losing Her Husband

Last night, 11/4/24, William Hoffman lost his battle with stage 3 lung cancer/leukemia.

His wife Chris (Schaeffer) Hoffman was a long-time radio personality in the Mid-Michigan area, now retired. Naturally... she is devastated.

Billy and Chris have met a terrible crossroads. Chris, grieving the husband she just lost, is facing her own cancer. She's scheduled for surgery in the morning (11/6), and the long term costs of their mutual treatment has depleted their resources. Her situation is dire; compounded by the loss of her beloved spouse.

We're reaching out to the Mid-Michigan entertainment community - colleagues in media (as well as the many musicians/listeners that Chris has supported and promoted over the years) to assist in the costs, if you're able.

The cost of Billy's cremation is $1,900, which the service is demanding by Thursday. Obviously, Chris cannot meet the obligation, given the circumstances. Her recovery from surgery will be difficult, and the ongoing costs for her own treatment will be daunting.

We know that times are tough. But if you can help in any way, your donation would be greatly appreciated.

Media has not always treated its veterans well. Chris has given much of her time in public service, and we'd just like to give a little back.

Every little bit helps.

Funds donated will go toward the cost of Billy's cremation, first, as described. Anything donated beyond that will go directly to Chris, to aid her in the costs related to her own recovery.
