Support Chris's Cancer Journey

Hi, my name is Gabe Vigil and on the behalf of the Vigil family we are looking to raise funds for my mother Chris Vigil to help support her medical expenses during this challenging time in her life.

On September 15th, 2023, she went in for a routine screening colonoscopy with no symptoms presented. During her procedure the doctors found a large mass in her colon. They diagnosed her with Stage 4 Colon Cancer and sadly the disease has spread to her liver and her lungs. Normally they do not operate on Stage 4 cancer patients, but due to the placement of the tumor they needed to operate quickly before it obstructed her colon.

Following her major surgery and recovery, she is now undergoing intense chemotherapy for at least 6 months and will need to remain on chemotherapy for the rest of her life. As a result of her intense treatment she is unable to work. My mom has always been a strong and hardworking person her entire life and being left unable to work has created an additional layer of frustration and stress on top of an already challenging time maintaining her physical health.

My mom is a loving, caring and generous person who always puts the needs of others in front of her own. Now the time has come for us to give the love and generosity back to her in this time of need. We are looking to fundraise for her ongoing cancer treatment or any other expenses that may arise. On behalf of my mom and the rest of the family, any donation is greatly appreciated.
