Support Chris's Journey: Stem Cell Hope

Donation protected
For those of you who don't know, Chris was diagnosed with MS in 2019. He has managed the progression through medication, personal trainers, physical therapy, and other means. Over the past year, he sustained a back injury while at work. This injury has exacerbated his symptoms of MS, making it difficult to work. We started looking into Stem Cell Therapy. Unfortunately, despite the studies and the statistics, this treatment is not approved by the FDA and is not covered by insurance. We have researched many facilities out there and found one in Illinois that has gone above and beyond explaining things to us.

So what is Stem Cell Therapy? Short version: they take stem cells to replace and/or repair damaged or diseased tissue. The therapy protocol that Chris will go through is a 3-day process. They will harvest his own stem cells, then they will isolate and activate the regenerative cells. Lastly, they will administer the cells back into Chris so they can start repairing the damage that is done by MS.

As of a 2022 study for using stem cell therapy for MS showed that 81% of patients were relapse-free as of a 5 year follow up, 68% showed no evidence of disease activity, and 73% were able to maintain/improve their functional abilities.

This treatment will cost us $13,000. It does cover the hotel and food for Chris for those 3 days. The remaining will help us with gas for driving there plus food for myself to be there.

Anything else raised above the $15,000 will be put into savings for any future MS treatments Chris may need. Our goal by doing this treatment is to keep him in a job he loves and able to continue doing the things he loves like camping, fishing, and hunting.
