Support Chrissy Naame's Battle Against Lung Cancer

Hello everyone, thank you for visiting.

First, let’s talk about Chrissy. A native of Egg Harbor City, NJ, Chrissy grew up as the eldest daughter of a family so committed to helping others that out of 12 children, 9 were adopted.

A longtime resident of Northfield, NJ, Chrissy is a dedicated mother of two boys, Kaden and Kyle, and a loving wife of 18 years to her husband George. She is the brightest light wherever she goes - always positive, always smiling, always laughing, and always a champion for others. Chrissy is the life of every gathering and is always ready for game of corn hole or two! She truly means the world to her friends and family.

Lung cancer came as a complete shock. As a non-smoker, Chrissy has always been health conscious and active. In January 2024, after initially being treated for pneumonia, multiple x rays were ordered which led to a CAT scan. That CAT scan revealed nodules on numerous parts of her body, including her lungs, liver, and additional areas. She was then advised to contact a pulmonologist.

Ultimately, a biopsy was done of Chrissy’s left lung where the main nodule was located. PET scan results on February 14th revealed the devastating news of a Stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) diagnosis.

While the largest mass was found in Chrissy’s left lung, additional tumors were found on her brain, liver and rib. Thankfully, because Chrissy was a non-smoker they found that she had a gene mutation - called egfr exon 19. That gene is why her team at University of Penn was able to prescribe her a targeted therapy pill - Tagrisso- as a first line for treatment.

After 3 months of taking Tagrisso, recent CAT scans have shown that it is working- the tumors are shrinking in size. The most recent scans only detected a few small lymph nodes in the chest that have increased.

For now, Chrissy will continue with Tagrisso for as long as it continues to show progress. If the pill shows signs of slowing down then they will move to the next plan of treatment.

Unfortunately, Tagrisso causes nausea, fatigue, back pain, and headaches to name a few side effects. Chrissy has been a fighter through it all and is extremely determined to beat this disease. She has completely transformed her diet and fitness routine. But she and her family now need our help.

Facing cancer is daunting, both emotionally and financially. With this diagnosis comes many unforeseen medical expenses. As her friends, this fundraiser has been set up to assist Chrissy with the out of pocket medical expenses not covered by her medical insurance and to help fill the gaps of everyday living expenses due to being unable to work.

All funds raised will go directly to the Naame family to help with any short term and long term financial needs from this situation. Thank you for those who have graciously reached out asking how they can help. Any amount will help ease the financial burden and allow Chrissy time to focus on her health and on her family. We also appreciate your help sharing this fundraiser in any way you can so it can be seen by as many people as possible.

Chrissy believes strongly in the act of prayer- so please continue to keep the Naame family in yours.

Thank you for caring about Chrissy and taking the time to read this. As her friends, from the bottom of our hearts, we are so grateful for your support.

Thank you ❤️
