Support Christian and Others at Riverside Foundation

My boy Christian happy as ever wearing his mom’s glasses. I had him with me for 22 years. Had to place him in a group home…it all started going downhill. Then within five or so years he was abused by a caregiver from Help at Homes. His knee socket was kicked out of place by 80lbs of pressure..then his meds were off and went thru horrible withdrawal. Two sets of staples in his head from frustration of being non verbal. No resources anywhere for these kids/adults. None. He made it by the grace of Christ. At one point restrained to hospital bed for over thirty days…agains no adequate resources. After almost two years he is adapting just like hundreds of other special needs people. This money will help provide much needed help. These people haven’t a voice. They do not matter to politicians. They can’t vote! Thank Jesus for Riverside Foundation and their staff! A miracle Christian got in..we all didn’t know what an extreme challenge it would be. We need more places like this so desperately. It’s a parents nightmare not to be with your disabled 24/7…then we have to worry about when we as parents die..Please help!

Hi all.

My son is autistic. This is a picture of him after being abused in a group home one and a half years ago. Him and I and his loved ones have been thru hell with no help in sight. The good Lord, Jesus Christ made it possible for him to move in to a group home named Riverside Foundation in Mundeline, Illinois. Although he has been through hell for two years he is finally doing well by the diligence of this foundation and staff. Riverside is having a fund raiser. It’s sickening the special needs community has to beg for money to help those without a voice to get funding. Illinois is the second worst state for resources. Plz help my son Christian and all others get the much needed help they need…whether it be a sensory room, day program or money for community outings or repairs on housing.
