Support Christian Continue School & Find Housing

Thank you for taking the time to check this out. My name is Christian and this is my son Zeus. I’m very grateful to say that I am currently employed and also taking classes at Texas State University.

In November of 2022 Zeus and I lost the place we called home for over three years. Thankfully we’ve been very fortunate to have such great friends that have been letting us couch surf with them while I work to build my savings. My plan was to pick up as many shifts as I could and max out my hours during the holiday season so that I would be able to, at the very least, secure housing and pay half my tuition bill up front. Unfortunately those plans were never able to come to fruition.

On thanksgiving day I began to feel extremely sharp pains in my lower abdomen, but being familiar with gastrointestinal issues I just assumed I was experiencing another flare up. I tried to tough the pain out as best I could but after three days of it growing significantly worse I thought it best to seek emergency help. I was taken to the emergency room and was diagnosed with appendicitis and an infection. I had to undergo an emergency appendectomy and was required to stay in the hospital for three more days while the doctors monitored the infection. As I was preparing to be discharged I got the crushing news that I would not be allowed to return to work for four weeks.

Finally after being cleared to return to work I began to pick up as many shifts as I could. By doing so and with help from friends and family I was able to secure enough funds to keep Zeus and I afloat and to pay just enough of my tuition bill to not get dropped from classes.

I am still working as often as I can but my job has drastically reduced everyone’s hours and when I could somehow manage with 38 hours a week, the 15 I’ve been getting just isn’t cutting it, not even close.

All donations will go to fully paying off my spring tuition bill and securing housing for Zeus and I.
