Support Christina and Her Kids After Fire
Donation protected
I write this to share that one of my oldest and dearest friends, Christina (McDonough) Conte, has lost her home to the fires in Altadena, CA.
Tina lived in her lovely home with her three young children and many animals. Their house was not only their home but it was Tina’s place of work. Nestled in her urban homestead, she built Mama Christina’s Homestead, which was “a space created to celebrate and share traditional, back-to-the-basics skills while building a sense of community.” She spent years building a backyard filled with California native plants, fruit trees, medicinal and culinary herbs, vibrant flowers, and a flock of chickens. What she built truly embodied her passion, and she gave her all to her home, her business, and her community.
Although she has lost her home (and town) in such a devastating way, I know she will come back stronger, as she is one of the most resilient humans. In the meantime, she has lost all her and her children’s belongings, as well as their safe haven and happy place. Any contributions would go to helping her and her three kids while she moves through this very difficult time. Christina is true love and light Thank you so much for your support.
