Support Miss Guy in Her Fight Against Leukemia

Donation protected
Miss Christine Guy, a lifelong educator and beloved teacher, is facing one of the most challenging battles of her life. She has been diagnosed with leukemia and is starting an intense course of chemotherapy. Her doctors estimate that her treatment and recovery will require up to 8 weeks in the hospital.

The financial burden of this fight is overwhelming. Just four days in the hospital back in October cost $7,000, and Miss Guy will now need to take unpaid leave under FMLA during her treatment and recovery. As we know, teachers are underpaid as it is, and her financial challenges are mounting rapidly.

That’s why we’ve set a target goal of $100,000 to cover hospital bills, treatment, and everyday living expenses while Miss Guy focuses on what truly matters—getting healthy.

A Teacher Who Has Given Her All #ForeverMyKinderBaby #ForeverFirsties

Since 1989, Miss Guy has been a source of inspiration and guidance to her students. She’s taught in cities across Dallas, as well as in Guatemala and Japan, bringing a love of learning to children worldwide. She’s more than a teacher—she’s a mentor, a role model, and a cheerleader for her students’ success.

Former students continue to share how much she means to them. One wrote:

“Hi Ms. Guy! I saw you’re having chemo today and wanted you to know I’m praying for you. You are such a special person to me (and to SO many) and I just wanted to send my love. I’m also an oncology nurse so if you ever have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out!! Love you so much!!!” – Catie Ball

Miss Guy dreams of returning to the classroom she loves so much, but right now, she needs our help to make that dream possible.

How You Can Make a Difference

Many have reached out asking how they can support Miss Guy during this time. Donating to this GoFundMe is the best way to help. Every dollar raised will go toward:
• Hospital bills and ongoing treatment costs
• Living expenses during her unpaid leave
• Alleviating the financial strain so Miss Guy can focus on her recovery

Your support will remind her she’s not alone in this fight. Thoughts and prayers are always welcome, too.

Let’s Give Back to Someone Who Has Given So Much

Miss Guy has spent over three decades inspiring young minds and making a difference in the lives of her students. Now it’s our turn to make a difference for her. With your help, we can ensure she has the resources she needs to fight leukemia and get back to doing what she loves—teaching.

Thank you for your kindness, love, and generosity. Let’s rally together for Miss Guy and show her the same care and support she’s given to so many.
