Support Christopher's Recovery Journey

Hello & thank you for taking the time out to view our fundraiser for Christopher Struble. My name is Krysta Struble, one of his aunts from Florida. While I wish I could be with him in person, I've partnered with his siblings, Destiny & Joe, on this fundraiser to help provide any support we can.
As some of you may have heard, Chris was in a life-altering car accident in the early hours of 7/8/24. While most of the circumstances surrounding the accident are still unknown due to memory loss, Chris' injuries are incredibly extensive, as he was ejected from the car. While his prognosis is ever changing, he sustained an incredible amount of injuries, mostly on his left side. Among his injuries are a fracture to his upper left arm, fractured dislocation of his leg/femur, dislocated knee, brain bleed and concussion. His 2nd surgery yesterday was a success, but the long term prognosis of the arm & leg repairs won't be known until he's in better condition. Each day brings new information and updates. It's currently unknown if any additional surgeries will be needed or what medical attention he will need over the coming months. The only solid information we've received is that he will walk an incredibly difficult path and his life has been changed forever.
If you know Christopher, you know he's loved baseball since he was able to walk. He's played little league, travel ball, won numerous awards and taken on championships with various teams. His parents have invested in additional training, travel expenses, time and more to help support his passion throughout the course of his life. The damage to his arm and leg may affect his trajectory, although doctors have said it's too early to make assumptions. Aside from the excruciating physical pain, he's concerned he won't return to the sport that he's loved his entire life. That's tough at any age, but especially
for a 16 year old young man.
Currently, Christopher is receiving the best care possible in the hospital and we're all hoping he's released soon with no additional medical surprises. While none of us can fix the situation or alleviate the heart break of the circumstances, we've opened this fundraiser in hopes to alleviate some financial stress that stems from missing work for daily care, appointments and provide any additional medical support he may need to reach his full potential.
We appreciate all the love, prayers, concern, thoughts and support we've been receiving. Although this is a heart wrenching path to walk, we are ALL so grateful to have our handsome, funny, talented, spunky, smooth talking boy still with us. Regardless of where this path takes us, we know he's strong, resilient and will persevere. Please continue to pray for Christopher, updates will be shared as often as possible. Thank you for your time.
