Support Christy and Her Children After Tragic Loss

Hello, my name is Gabriel and I Pastor MDZ Church in Santa Maria, CA. Tragedies are devastating, especially when they hit close. On July 10 my brother-in-law Alejandro Hernandez was involved in a horrible auto accident that left him paralyzed from the neck down with a broken spine, multiple fractures and too many things to name. After being rushed to the hospital and having to be revived that night (and two more times that same week) miraculously he continued to fight. My sister, Christy (who is 9 months pregnant and with a 6yr old) stood by his side through it all and continued to believe that God had a plan for it all even after being told to let him go multiple times as his condition grew worse. For 40 days she visited him and we all had hope for a recovery as after many weeks he opened his eyes and even smiled. But sadly this past Sunday [August 18] the injures were too much and God called Alejandro home. Alejandro leaves behind his wife, Christy, his son Alexander and their soon to be born baby girl, Leilani. His passing not only leaves a tremendous void in our family but also comes with heavy financial burdens (funeral, bills, car) for my sister. Hola, mi nombre es Gabriel y soy pastor de la iglesia MDZ en Santa María, CA. Las tragedias son devastadoras, especialmente cuando golpean de cerca. El 10 de Julio, mi cuñado Alejandro Hernández estuvo involucrado en un horrible accidente automovilístico que lo dejó paralizado del cuello hacia abajo con la columna rota, múltiples fracturas y demasiadas cosas para nombrar. Después de ser llevado de urgencia al hospital y tener que ser revivido esa noche (y dos veces más esa misma semana), milagrosamente continuó luchando. Mi hermana, Christy (que tiene 9 meses de embarazo y un niño de 6 años) estuvo a su lado durante todo y continuó creyendo que Dios tenía un plan para todo, incluso después de que le dijeran que lo dejara ir varias veces a medida que su condición empeoraba. Durante 40 días lo visitó y todos teníamos esperanza de una recuperación ya que después de muchas semanas abrió los ojos e incluso sonrió. Pero lamentablemente el domingo pasado [18 de agosto] las lesiones fueron demasiadas y Dios llamó a Alejandro a Su presencia. Alejandro deja atrás a su esposa, Christy, su hijo Alexander y su bebé que nacerá pronto, Leilani. Su fallecimiento no solo deja un enorme vacío en nuestra familia, sino que también trae consigo una gran carga económica (funeral, facturas, automóvil) para mi hermana.
