Our good friend Chum Stine went out for his daily run on Friday morning. When Stacey returned home and Chum was still not back, she headed out to retrace his steps. She found a man along the route who told her he and another man had seen Chum collapse and he was taken by ambulance.  Chum suffered from a heart arrhythmia (the electrical impulses that coordinate your heartbeats don't work properly).  By the grace of God, when he collapsed those two men called 911 and rendered aid and CPR while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.  He was taken to Centennial Hills Hospital as a John Doe, admitted to the ICU and placed into a medically induced coma. Stacey was able to be by his side quickly after calling the 911 dispatchers to locate the hospital. He remains in ICU but has made tremendous improvements. Although they are still trying to figure out what caused this collapse, they have been able to remove him from all of the machines!  We are not sure what the road ahead will look like, but we know that our prayers and support are needed for this family that has had a tough year already. Chum and Stacey are salt of the earth people that will give you the shirt off their back and never think twice about doing so, nor ask for anything in return.  We are setting up this Go Fund Me as a way to bless them and ease their minds about any bills that will be coming because of this medical trauma.  Thank you, in advance, for blessing the Stine family as Chum begins the healing journey. #PRAY4CHUM #TEAMCHUM

I am Michelle Maffey, a friend of the Stine family for 4 years now.  My son Declan and Miles are buds who met at school here in Las Vegas.  We have spent a lot of time with the Stines both in Las Vegas, Vermont and Cape Cod.  We pray that this fundraiser helps them with any expenses they have with time off of work, medical costs etc.  I am hoping that the withdrawal process of the funds can by pass me and go straight to Chum's account.  :)
