Help get the Cauchon Family back home Oxford CT Flash Flood
We are reaching out to our Community and beyond asking for your help to get David, Kristen, 2-year old Olivia, and 7 week old Theodore back home. On August 18 2024, in Oxford CT , a once quiet, babbling brook turned into a raging river, collapsing the bridge connecting their driveway to Punkup Road which is the only access in and out of their property. This bridge originally spanned 8 feet but due to the destruction of the flash flood this area now spans at least 50 feet, as depicted in the picture.
We need help to get this bridge rebuilt to give this family access to and from their home. As of now, they cannot get their vehicles in or out and have to hike through the woods in order to get to any accessible roads. We have exhausted any responsibility of the town, leaving them with no assistance. At this point we realize a Civil Engineer needs to be involved and projected estimates of upwards of $150,000 dollars to replace this bridge With your help we can get them back home to access their vehicles for emergencies. Every donation is appreciated and will go directly toward rebuilding this bridge.
