Support Citrus Little League's Recovery from Snack Bar Fire
Donation protected
The building is owned and operated 100% by Citrus Little League families. It was donated to the league by the original owners and is not the property of the City of Rancho Cucamonga.
On May 3rd, 2024, at approximately 2:20pm Citrus Little League was the victim of burglary and arson. Not only was the building damaged, but the long standing history and items close to all of the families of Citrus were lost in the fire as well. This was not just a snack bar, it was also used to store all of the kids equipment, Citrus merchandise, tables, chairs, sound equipment for walk up music and games, i-pads, etc. The loss of this has really effected the children and families of the Citrus community as things that can not be replaced were lost as well - original Citrus Little League banner, a letter from the White House for the American Flag that was flown at the White House and donated to Citrus, All Star team pictures ranging from the 80's through to early 2000's and countless pins, shirts, and classic memorabilia from past and present Citrus families.
Although the snack bar building is on public property at Red Hill Park, the building itself is 100% run, maintained, and cared for by the Citrus Little League board members who are all Volunteers, and paid for by ALL of the families of Citrus Little League. The money generated by the snack bar is what allows us to have events for the children, and keep the fields maintained to the highest level possible.
The goal of this GoFundMe is to help replace the equipment lost to operate our fields for safe and effective play(score keeper equipment, portable power solutions etc.), purchase temporary snack bar equipment and goods as everything was a total loss.
No donation is too small to help the children at Citrus get their snack bar back up and running and start the process of rebuilding what has become a monument in the Rancho Cucamonga, Alta Loma, and Redhill community.
Thank you!
