Support Civil Disobedience in Shan State, Burma

We are raising funds to support the civil disobedience movement in Shan State, Burma.  All money raised will go directly to activists in Shan State. Your contribution will help support Indigenous, ethnic minority women and youth resisting the military dictatorship.

Money raised will be used for the following purposes:
-To run a safe house for activists or other civilians at risk (those who have been target for being arrested) in order to provide a safe space for shelter, food, secure communication and create a safe meeting space for the organizing committee.
-To provide legal aid and financial support for arrested persons and their family members (lawyer fees, travel fees, food, bail money).
-To produce banners, signboards and other creative protest materials for protesting the coup.
-Organizing daily multi ethnic rallies and a women's march for International Women's Day.
-Self care and wellness support for activists.
-Any other needs which frontline activists have at this time in order to support or sustain their work to resist the military coup.

Please donate as soon as you can and funds will be securely distributed.  Any amount will be appreciated. The organizers of this campaign are a diverse group of experienced activists who have been working on the Thai-Burma border for many years. Our group comes from Shan State, Thailand, and various overseas countries. 100% of money raised will be sent directly to our local members in Shan State, Burma.

While we cannot release the names of the individuals or groups organizing this campaign due to security reasons, the activists that this money will go to are highly experienced frontline activists for environmental justice, democracy and peace in Burma.
