Support Claira's Fight Against Brain Tumor

Donation protected
This is sweet Claira. She is going to be 5 months old on January 4th. Claira is the sweetest girl in the entire world. She brings joy to everyone she meets. Claira’s mom and dad (Tiera and Colton) watched Claira have episodes where she would go blank and around her lips would turn blue. With how scary it was, they took her into the Emergency Room. The doctors decided to do a CT scan, which showed a large mass in her brain. They got sent to Denver Children’s Hospital and are awaiting MRI results. This little girl means the world to her parents, family, and friends. With them being in a different state, they are in need of financial and medical assistance to get them through this hard time.

UPDATE!! 12/30/24 11:30 am:
Claire is being a strong little girl! Tiera and Colton haven’t got many answers from the MRI as of late. The oncologist and neurologist are working together for a safe plan to proceed.

Tiera and Colton are beyond thankful and pleasantly shocked with how many people have donated and prayed for them.

UPDATE!! 12/30/25 6:00pm
Miss Claira is scheduled for a biopsy in the morning at 7:30 am. Results will take 10-14 days. If the procedure goes as planned they are hopefully going to be able to go home and await results and then start with the next steps!

Update!! 12/31/24 7:30 am
Claira is going in for her biopsy this morning! Claira continues to be a happy little girl. Please keep the prayers going!

Claira has made it successfully through surgery and did amazing! She even smiled at the doctors before being put under. One step closer!

UPDATE!! 1/3/25 4:00 pm
Claira and her parents Tiera and Colton have made it back home from Denver. Unfortunately this evening Claira had 2 seizures within an hour. They are now back at the hospital getting more imaging and tests done.

Update!!! 1/3/25 8:20 pm
After another hospital visit Claira gets to go home for the night after upping one of her medications. Ct scan showed no changes which is great news! Her parents are taking her home!

UPDATE!! 1/8/24
Claira has had 4 episodes today. Colton and Tiera took her back to the hospital this morning after one episode where they upped her medication again. They went home then she proceeded to have 3 more. Awaiting news. Results should be in from biopsy any day now.

UPDATE 6pm
miss Claira had another episode while at hospital. They are being life flighted back to Denver

UPDATE:
Claira has been discharged for hospital in Denver. Her and her parents are headed home. Unfortunately at this time the doctors believe this a high grade tumor and cancerous. They are awaiting testing to find out what type of tumor and what drug needs to be used for treatment. Most likely they will have to return for Claira’s treatment. Still awaiting final results at this time.

UPDATE!! 1/16/25 4:00 pm
Tiera spoke with the team at Children’s today.

Claira’s tumor is called an ependymoma. For her specific tumor, the best choice is surgery to completely remove it or to remove as much of it as safely possible. It’s possible that she would also need to do radiation. It’s unlikely she would need chemo. They will know for sure after they have removed the tumor.

Claira’s young age makes all of this more difficult than if she were a little older but the team says that a complete cure is possible in the majority of these tumors and that is their goal and expectation for her.

That is very encouraging but there is a long road ahead for this tough little girl.
