Support Claire Bosquet’s journey back to Judo

Please help Mississauga Judo Club raise funds for Claire.

Dear Mississauga Judo Club (Shin Bu Kan) members, friends, family, and our Judo community,

Two months ago, a bright young talent at our dojo, Claire Bosquet 12 years of age, suffered a complicated injury during an open mat training session. An awkward fall resulted in fractures to her T2 and T4 vertebrae and cervical sprains. Claire, a dedicated and passionate judoka, has already made waves in the competitive scene, earning two gold medals at the Manitoba Open and a bronze at the Quebec Open. Despite this misfortune, she continues to demonstrate her resilience, maintaining a positive attitude, perseverance, and an inspiring determination to return to the mat.

Claire’s new challenge is regaining her mobility. Currently, she is receiving treatment at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, where she has been living for the past month focusing on her recovery. I am pleased to share that Claire has made tremendous progress. Given her aggressive therapy, combined with the unwavering support of her friends and family, we are confident that she will return to the mat.

As one can anticipate, an unexpected injury can incur unanticipated expenses, including personalized therapies, medical equipment, and ongoing care. For this reason, we are requesting your support as a valued part of our community to facilitate her journey. While these costs can add up, we know that with the support of our incredible community, Claire and her family will have everything they need to ensure her continued progress. The funds raised will provide Claire with the extra therapy needed to maximize her recovery and regain her strength and mobility. Every donation will make a meaningful difference!
