Support Claire's Recovery and Financial Relief

Greetings!

As some of you know, on April 14th our beloved Claire required eight-hour emergency open heart surgery to repair a tear in her aorta. I won't go into too much detail about that but you can go ahead and Google acute aortic dissection and come back. To put it bluntly, she very nearly died. Obviously Claire is too stubborn for that and is now thankfully on the road to recovery.

This is where we need you.

Claire is currently building up her strength in a rehab facility, medically this is where she needs to be. With the U.S. healthcare system being what it is, insurance will only cover so much for so long, leaving Claire and her family to absorb the costs. In addition, Claire will not be able to work for the foreseeable future (though I'm sure she'll try to go back sooner than she should but that is a battle for a different day). We all know her husband Eric is an extraordinary human, however he does not have the ability to print money. And though I'm sure he would be more than willing to, no one wants him to get a second job. They both deserve time to rest and heal without having to worry about income.

So let's help carry the weight of this situation.
