Support Class Action Lawsuit by Taxpayers Against Genocide

Taxpayers across 10 different counties in Northern California are filing a class action lawsuit against their Representatives in Congress-- Mike Thompson and Jared Huffman-- for illegally using our tax dollars to fund the genocide in Gaza.
Though Congress has wide latitude with its "tax and spend authority", it cannot allocate our tax dollars in ways that are unconstitutional, such as funding genocide. We have named our movement "Taxpayers Against Genocide" (TAG).
We have retained a progressive legal firm in the Bay Area, Szeto-Wong Law, to file this lawsuit. We are seeking to raise $6000 by December 10th to cover the legal costs of preparing, filing and advancing this massive class action to trial.
On April 20th, 2024, Rep. Thompson voted for the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act that allocated an additional $26.38 billion of our tax dollars as military aid to Israel, facilitating the replenishment and procurement of advanced weapon systems and munitions.
They made this vote over and against massive opposition by their own constituents and in the face of overwhelming evidence that the Israeli military was carrying out genocide in Gaza with US-provided weapons and munitions. Among many examples of such documentation, on March 24th, 2024, Francesca Albanese– the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories– issued a comprehensive report that found the Israeli government had unequivocally crossed the “threshold” and was actively committing genocide in Gaza.
