Support Claw's Healthcare Mission in Guatemala

Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you may recall, prior to the onset of the global pandemic, I dedicated several years of my life to serving as Global Healthworks Foundation's Central American Program Manager in Guatemala. During this time, my focus was on, shifting healthcare with kindness and compassion by providing acupuncture therapy and other complementary treatment modalities to the medically underserved communities of Santa Cruz del Quiché and Chichicastenango.
I am excited to share that I will be returning to Guatemala this Fall to contribute to a series of special mobile clinics aimed at providing similar healthcare services to these communities once again. While I typically don't seek financial assistance, this opportunity to give back resonates deeply with me. Therefore, I am reaching out to request your support in covering the out-of-pocket expenses associated with this endeavor.
The Fall-2024 medical outreach program is organized by the Global Healthworks Foundation (GHF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to providing integrative healthcare services to underserved communities, both locally and internationally -- all at no cost to the patients! Being part of GHF's volunteer team has been immensely rewarding, and I am grateful for the chance to contribute to their twelve-year legacy of serving those in need.
To gain insight into its impactful outreach efforts, please watch the short video further below highlighting the achievements of GHF's volunteer outreach team joined just this past April. Or select the following GHF website link: Jornada de Salud Integral Gratuita.
GHF has been dedicated to serving indigenous communities in Guatemala for over a decade, providing high-quality treatments to over 65,000 patients. During the medical clinics, known as "jornadas," we will offer acupuncture, therapeutic bodywork, natural herbal remedies, rehabilitative body movement exercises (such as qigong and yoga), nutritional counseling, Reiki energy healing, psychological support, and more to approximately 200 patients per day. Additionally, we will train local health promoters to empower their communities with sustainable health practices.
Your generous donations to GHF will directly support my airfare, ground travel expenses, and accommodations in rural areas. Any surplus funds will be utilized to purchase children's and adult vitamins, as well as other essential treatment supplies.
Thank you in advance for your unwavering love and support.
With gratitude,
Claw Rousseau
P.S. More Information:
The indigenous populations in the Northwestern region of Guatemala face significant barriers to accessing modern healthcare. Their daily lives are physically demanding, often involving manual labor or subsistence farming, with limited access to nutritious food and clean water. Consequently, many suffer from chronic pain and illnesses such as diabetes, dysentery, hepatitis, asthma, bronchitis, skin conditions, parasites, and malnutrition, particularly among children.
